Utility wants turbines bigger than jumbo jets for US wind farm
Iberdrola's head of offshore says the 804 MW wind project won in Connecticut's tender by Vineyard Wind – a joint venture consisting of the Spanish utility's US subsidiary, Avangrid, and CIP – aims to use currently undeveloped wind turbine technology with per-unit ratings of 14 MW for installation at some point in the mid-2020s.
