US coal plants close despite Trump's promises

50 coal power plants have been closed in the US during Donald Trump's presidency, according to environmental organization.

50 US coal power plants have been closed since US President Donald Trump moved into the White House two years ago, informs environmental organization.

The environmental group Sierra Club has counted 50 decommissioning and 51 announcements of closing since Trump began his presidency in January 2017.
