Maersk companies could end up competing against each other

Maersk could end up competing against itself, as several of the group's companies are betting on the same market to decommission end-of-life oil rigs. The market is big enough, Maersk Energy CEO Claus Hemmingsen tells ShippingWatch.

In less than one month, several companies under A.P. Moeller-Maersk have announced plans to enter the market for decommissioning end-of-life oil rigs, through various partnerships.

But the market is big enough to hold several Maersk players, Claus Hemmingsen, CEO of Maersk Energy and Vice CEO of the Maersk Group, tells ShippingWatch.
