ABB surprises positively on all fronts

Things are going well for Swiss industry giant ABB, which is beginning to see the impacts of the transformations carried out over the past few years.

Industry giant ABB has delivered better on operations than expected. EBITA landed at USD 1060 in the first quarter, against USD 943 million in the first quarter of 2018. According to SME Direkt, USD 1009 million was expected.

The result was achieved on the basis of revenue which increased to USD 8626 million from USD 7854 million, above analyst expectations of USD 8388 million.
