EU demands data centers supply district heating

As a part of the EU's Fit for 55 legislative package, green demands are for the first time placed on data centers. Danish company Asetek says the rules could mean data centers utilizing surplus thermal energy for district heating, while the Danish Data Center Industry says the sector ought be a step ahead of legislation.
