Trump delays steel tariff

The US government is delaying implementing the planned tariff on steel and aluminum, which poses a threat to the wind energy sector and may spark a trade war with the EU.

NEW YORK

Donald Trump was once again swayed in the last moment before collision. Only few hours before expiring, the US president once again delayed canceling the effective exemption on increased steel and aluminum tariffs from Canada, Mexico and the EU. The new exemption expires on June 1.
