Ørsted upgrades after British divestment

The company formerly known as Dong Energy has just divested 50 percent of the offshore wind farm Walney Extension, and now projects that 2017 will be better than previously estimated.

The plan was for the Ørsted third quarter interim report to be released Thursday, but the company, which until a few days ago went by the name Dong Energy, has just published it ahead of time.

Ørsted informs that 50 percent of the not-yet-complete offshore wind farm Walney Extension in the UK has been divested to Danish pension funds PKA and PFA for approximately GBP 2 billion. In the wake of this news, Ørsted has also upgraded its guidance for 2017 and released its financial report for the first nine months of the year.
