British investment firm buys Danish utility

After growing into a lucrative business in just a few years, Blue Energy has now been acquired by a UK investment firm. The new owner is considering extending the Blue Energy's concept beyond its Danish homeland.

Danish energy company Blue Energy has been bought up by London-based investment firm New Nordic Advisors, which was founded by three Danish asset managers.

"Blue Energy has proven its ability to grow in a very competitive market. This was achieved by being extremely dynamic, via customer focus, and by being highly digital. Meanwhile, the company is competently run, and has continuously managed to develop innovative and relevant products," says CEO of New Nordic Advisors, Nicolai Borcher Hansen.
