Finnish Fortum continues its pursuit of Uniper

Even though Uniper seems less than excited to come under Finnish ownership, major shareholder E.on is supposedly now ready to sell.

Finnish utility Fortum has placed an offer of EUR 8.05 billion to buy the German energy company Uniper.

This happened after the Finnish firm reached agreement with Uniper's majority shareholder, E.on, to take over its shareholding of 46.65 percent of the shares in Uniper for a price of EUR 22 per share.
