Dong's offshore wind division, Wind Power, is the reason why the Danish utility was able to book a 70-percent increase in the second quarter's operating profit before depreciations and amortizations (EBITDA) for the whole business.
During the quarter, Wind Power was injected extra strength of DKK 1.4 billion (EUR 188 million) from the divestment of the Race Bank farm last year. The boost in the operating profit is not only due to the Race Bank payment, however, says Dong's CEO Henrik Poulsen.
