Although it did not get a lot of attention from the country's press, Denmark's parliament passed amended energy supply regulations last Friday.
This means new legislation in the field of electricity grid companies which must now become more efficient. At the core of the new rules, the grid companies will be allowed to keep efficiency gains for several years, but subsequently these gains must go back to consumers.
