Statkraft secures growth in Q1 2017

Norwegian utility Statkraft succeeded in boosting both revenue and profits in this year's first quarter.

Increasing electricity prices have ensured progress for Norway's Statkraft which saw its top and bottom lines grow in the first quarter 2017.

The energy company's result excluding depreciations came to NOK 5.2 billion (EUR 552 million), which is NOK 1.2 billion less than in the same quarter last year. After taxes, Statkraft presents a profit in this year's first quarter of NOK 2.7 billion.
