Dong will drive offshore forward with price cuts

After a historic zero-subsidy bid on German offshore wind, Dong's CEO Henrik Poulsen is well aware that certain financial institutions are arching their eyebrows in response. Banks believe Dong's bid is risky, but now the CEO calls for calm.

Dong's plans to install two German offshore wind farms without any subsidies should be seen as a positive, says the Danish wind developer's CEO at an analyst conference according to Danish media Børsen.

"I understand the concern about the related exposure to the market price for electricity. But with offshore becoming more and more competitive, this is a positive. Not a negative;" said Poulsen according to the newspaper.
