Dong appoints new UK managing director

Dong's country chairman in the UK is now retiring and his successor has been appointed to take a new position as managing director of Dong Energy UK.

It will be a summer of renewal in the executive team at Dong Energy UK. Brent Cheshire, Dong's UK Country Chairman will retire in June.

Cheshire has been with Dong for 13 years and was actually the first employee to be hired by Dong UK, the company writes in a press release. At the time, he arrived from positions in the oil industry at companies including Hess and Shell. He has since helped make Dong the largest developer of offshore wind in the UK, where the company now employs more than 850 people and has more than GBP 6 billion invested (EUR 7 billion).
