The energy company is planning to increase its portfolio of wind farms. The company is now planning to add 1.23 GW of wind to its systems in New Mexico and Texas. Additionally, there are plans for 155 GW in Upper Midwest. Xcel is also poised to begin construction of the 600 MW Rush Creek project in Colorado.
