Danish electricity trader Energi Danmark managed to set a revenue record for 2016, and the group has seen its bottom line soar after landing a DKK 114.1 million result. This is almost a tenfold increase of the 2016 DKK 11.7 million improvement, the worst in ten eyars. In 2016, Energi Danmark changed its reporting standard to IFRS, while 2015 figures were updated to the same standard.
The group's revenue grew by DKK 545 million to DKK 15.1 billion, attributed to a large influx of customers. According to Energi Danmark, the group had total sales orders of 69 TWH at the end of 2016, which had to be delivered to the Nordic countries and Germany in the years leading up to 2020. Altogether, Energi Danmark delivered 27.4 TWH in 2016. According the report, the number will grow, as 287 TWH have already been sold, to be delivered in 2017.
