BP is currently working on plans to update approximately 200 of the company's US wind turbines with newer equipment. If these plans materialize, the upgrade would constitute the company's largest investment in sustainable energy since 2012, writes Bloomberg.
The media reports that the update of the 200 turbines represents capacity of around 400 MW. According to Laura Folse, CEO of BP Wind Energy, the upgrade would enable the British company to utilize a tax deduction for the production and also grant an optimization of its wind farms in Texas and Kansas.
