Mounting pressure on Siemens' Danish wind business

ANALYSIS: Siemens Wind Power is shutting down the company's Danish blade factory in Engesvang and firing 430 employees. Only 34 days have passed since Siemens fired 150 people in its Aalborg facility.

2017 is rapidly turning into a regular year of tribulation for the approximately 7,000 employees in the Danish division of Siemens Wind Power.

The year had barely begun when Siemens' management handed out 150 pink slips at the company's blade factory in Aalborg, Denmark. Wednesday, the news arrived that Siemens will shut down its blade factory in the Danish location of Engesvang, marking another 430 layoffs.
