Major deficits continue to haunt Vattenfall's financial reporting. The Swedish energy company has not been able to turn things around and the year's total loss has thus grown by billions of Swedish kronar.
The revenue for the continuing business came to SEK 139.2 billion (EUR 14.7 billion) in the fourth quarter. This marks a decline of SEK 4 billion compared to the same quarter in the previous year. For the full-year 2016, including the brown coal business, there was a decline in revenue of around SEK 12 billion, down to SEK 152.6 billion.
