Danish utility Syd Energi will divest of its Dong shares

When the sale goes through, Danish electricity company Syd Energi will no longer own shares in Denmark's Dong Energy as a major shareholding was also sold in connection with the energy company's IPO.

Dong Energy could soon lose one of its major shareholders as energy company Syd Energi has put its approximately 3.6 million shares up for sale, reports Bloomberg News. The shareholding corresponds to 0.9 percent of Dong Energy's total share capital.

Danish bank Nordea Bank is handling the sale of shares, directed towards major institutional investors and pension funds.
