Dong eyes strong wind portfolio – With or without Trump

Regardless of whether the next president of the United States is named Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, Danish energy company Dong eyes major opportunities in offshore wind, even beyond 2020.

A strong interim report from Dong Energy with only a few worrisome details. This is one way to describe the reaction from stock market analysts after Tuesday's third quarter interim report from Dong Energy. The largest of these details – and what became the main topic of conversation during the conference call for analysts - was the income in the wind business which did not meet expectations.

The important wind division booked an operating result of DKK 1,643 million (EUR 220 million), which was about DKK 300 million more than last year, but still far from analyst expectations which were off by almost a billion Danish kroner.
