US election drama overshadows Dong report

Dong investors should be scrutinizing the results of the upcoming US election more closely than the Danish utility's own quarterly report, say analysts.

For only the second time since its IPO in June, CEO Henrik Poulsen and Dong Energy will come out with a quarterly report, to be released Tuesday.

However while investors will likely pay attention to the company's performance, particularly within the important offshore wind division, their attention should be more focused on what happens 24 hours later, when the US election results emerge.
