Ørsted appoints new onshore CEO

The Danish utility has found the replacement for Declan Flanagan from among its own ranks. Ørsted has appointed the interim CEO as the fixed onshore chief.

In early August, Ørsted Onshore Chief Executive Declan Flanagan announced his resignation.

Since then, Neil O’Donovan, onshore chief operating officer and senior vice president, has acted as interim CEO for the onshore unit. After a "thorough recruitment process" involving both internal and external candidates, Ørsted has come to the conclusion that O’Donovan is the "best candidate for the permanent position as executive vice president and CEO of Onshore".
