New record profit makes Centrica Energy Trading dream big

Within the next three years, the firm will become the largest energy trader in Europe, the company says after presenting a profit surpassing EUR 34m.

Low power prices in 2020 had some effect on the annual financial statement of Denmark's Centrica Energy Trading, owned by British utility Centrica.

That impact, however, only left a serious mark on the top line, down 17 percent year-over-year and ending at DKK 64.8bn (EUR 8.71bn).
