Uniper upgrades after excellent first quarter

Solid results in the first three months have the German company predicting a profit growing by another EUR 100m in 2021.

Uniper itself described its annual result for 2020 as "outstanding", and it seems the German company is now on a roll, reporting a first quarter strong enough to merit a full-year guidance upgrade.

Q1 saw revenue fly back to a normal level, at EUR 21.1bn against EUR 12.8bn in the same period last year. The item thereby lands amid the spread of the first quarters in 2019, 2018 and 2017, all of which came to EUR 20.8-22.2bn.
