A few days back, Ørsted Chief Executive Mads Nipper made it known that the Danish power company has ambitions to grow substantially within land-based renewable energy – and that this growth would be secured via acquisitions.
Now Ørsted reveals that it has entered an agreement with Canadian Brookfield Renewables entailing the utility taking over the latter's onshore wind business, Brookfield Renewables Ireland, BRI, in the Republic of Ireland and in Great Britain.
