Nordic utilities urge EU rule revision

CEOs of Statkraft, Fortum and Vattenfall sent a letter on Friday urging the EU Commission to make a quick revision of the union's 2030 climate and energy policies.

Three big Nordic power companies have sent a letter to the EU Commission and express full agreement on the union's official target to have reduced carbon emissions by at least 55 percent in 2050.

Despite agreeing fully with the Commission's commitment to the EU Emissions Trading System as a central instrument of climate policy, the three utilities urge a revision.
