Statkraft builds grand Brazilian project

The Norwegian utility announces upcoming development of a wind project of 519 MW, to be equipped with Nordex wind turbines.

Everything is ready to go in the establishment of wind project Ventos de Santa Eugenia in Northeastern Brazil, says Statkraft after a turbine order was placed with Germany's Nordex for 91 units of the type 164/5.7MW.

Project Ventos de Santa Eugenia consists of ten wind farms, which will have a total capacity og 519 MW. According the Norwegian state-owned utility, the total investment in the project, which was bought by local developer Casa dos Ventos exactly one year ago, will amount to NOK 4.2 billion (EUR 390 million).
