Statkraft enters its largest PPA to date

Once Scotland's offshore wind farm Seagreen is ready sometime between 2022 and 2023, half of the electricity generated by the 1,075 MW will belong to Norway, because Statkraft just entered a PPA with Total and SSE Renewables.

With 114 10 MW turbines from MHI Vestas and a capacity of 1,075 MW, Seagreen will make a mark on the landscape once it is finished in two to three years.

And now, the developer has also found a purchaser for half of the electricity expected to be generated at the farm. Norway's Statkraft just signed a power purchase agreement, PPA, for half the electricity from the Total-owned wind farm, of which SSE Renewables also owns 49 percent.
