Uniper appoints two new executives

German utility Uniper has recruited a new CEO and CFO in connection with the two departing executives' opposition to Fortum's takeover attempt.

Uniper's board of directors has nominated two new executives for forward-looking operations, the utility informs in a corporate announcement.

Andreas Schierenbeck is the company's new chief executive, flanked by Sascha Bibert as chief financial officer.
