NKT beats own record with EUR 300 million contract

Danish cable firm NKT has landed a new contract for millions of euros in its largest export cable deal ever.

Energy cable manufacturer NKT has confirmed its hitherto largest order on export cables. The Danish group has entered a deal with transmission grid Ostwind 2 valued at approximately EUR 300 million, announces NKT in a press release.

The lucrative contract concerns high voltage cables for Ostwind 2 transmission grid in Germany. According to the group a 270km 220 kV AC XLPE export cable system and an 8km 220 kV AC XLPE onshore cable system will be delivered.
