Utility risks huge damages claim from deadly forest fire

Utility Pacific Gas & Electric faces the risk of paying a damages claim for billions of USD for devastation caused by the enormous forest fires razing California.

US utility giant Pacific Gas & Electric is suspected of having caused the deadliest forest fire in the history of California.

15 minutes prior to the fire being noticed, PG&E disclosed a regulatory filing that it "experienced an outrage" from one of the company's transmission cable towers located in the vicinity.
