Ørsted's market value exceeds Maersk's for the first time

Maersk Group's declining share price has sent the company's stocks below Ørsted's for the first time, writes Danish business daily Berlingske Business.

Friday, Ørsted overtook Maersk for the first time when measured in stock values, reports Danish business daily Berlingske Business.

Over the past year, Maersk shares declined by 40 percent while the Ørsted share price increased by 30 percent, meaning that Maersk's market value is down by DKK 159 billion (EUR 21.3), DKK 3 billion less than Ørsted's market value. The Maersk share has been squeezed by the fact that analysts are expecting a downgrade of the company's expectations.
