US utility American Wind Power (AEP) aims to trim 60 percent from its CO2 emissions by 2030 and 80 percent by 2050.
This will take place with power purchasing agreements (PPA) and investments in renewable energy projects where the current portfolio will be expanded with 3,065 MW solar power and 5,295 MW wind farms. Furthermore, the company will invest almost USD 13 billion over the next three years into developing its transmission and distribution network, states the utility.
