Danish pension fund could invest in Nature Energy deal

British capital fund Pioneer Point Partners says that Nature Energy's biogas division could become "the new Vestas." EnergyWatch asks the fund how and when the new venture will be realized.

UK capital fund Pioneer Point Partners announced last week that it would buy the commercial division of Danish natural gas company Nature Energy in a deal worth more than DKK 1 billion (EUR 130 million.) The capital fund says that the investment could develop into "the new Vestas" and EnergyWatch has met with partner Sam Abboud to clarify the reasons behind the decision.

When asked about the kind of capital involved in the buyer consortium, the partner explains that this has not yet been completely settled. However, Pioneer Point Partners is currently working on getting a Danish pension fund into the investment circle.
