Warren Buffett points to next Vestas order

MidAmerican Energy has announced the US site for the next phase of the 2-GW project Wind XI. This concerns 340 MW, bringing the project closer to the finish line.

North English. This is the name of the next step on the 2GW Wind XI project that Warren Buffett's company MidAmerican Energy has worked on for the past 13 months. The US wind farm will count upwards of 170 Vestas 2-MW turbines, and the site will be located in Poweshiek Country halfway between Des Moines and Cedar Rapids in Iowa, states MidAmerican.

"We are excited to continue development of our Wind XI project and come closer to achieving our 100% Renewable Vision," says Bill Fehrman, President and CEO of MidAmerican Energy.
