Installation begins on first Vestas farm in Russia

A Finnish-Russian partnership has begun the implementation of the first phase on what will be one gigawatt of Russian Vestas farms.

Investment fund Fortum-Rusnano is ready to install its first wind farm in Russia. The fund, which consists of Finnish utility Fortum and state-owned Russian developer Rusnano, won projects this July for one gigawatt in the second Russian onshore wind auction.

Vestas is supplying the turbines and the first phase is now being installed, announces Fortum.
