Siemens Gamesa lands 780 MW in US orders

The wind turbine manufacturer has announced orders for more than 300 turbines for five projects in the US. The orders consist of both Siemens and Gamesa turbines.

Siemens Gamesa has thrown itself wholeheartedly into the US wind market, announcing this Tuesday morning that the firm will supply 310 wind turbines with total capacity of 780 MW to five US projects.

"I'm very pleased that Siemens Gamesa was selected for these five major orders in the US. These orders demonstrate the confidence that our customers have in our combined product offerings," says Ricardo Chocarro, CEO of Onshore at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
