NKT lands long-awaited order in the Netherlands

The cable manufacturer has secured an order worth EUR 90 million for the delivery of a cable to the Shell consortium's Borssele farms.

NKT will supply the export cable for the Dutch Borssele Beta project. The Danish cable manufacturer has received an order from the Dutch system operator Tennet worth EUR 90 million for the delivery of a 138 kilometer 220 kV AC cable, announces NKT.

"I am pleased that our long-term co-operation with TenneT results in the award of the Borssele Beta project and that we are seen as a strong partner in solutions to realize renewable energy targets. Further investments in a new grid infrastructure in both Europe and also globally continue to provide an attractive outlook for NKT," says NKT CEO Michael Hedegaard Lyng.
