Siemens Gamesa executives step down

Both the offshore wind CEO and the CFO are stepping down from the wind turbine manufacturer, which has also postponed its capital markets day.

The crisis at the merged wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa has now led to a dramatic climax, with the announcement that CEO for Offshore Wind Michael Hannibal and CFO Andrew Hall are stepping down from their posts just four months after the merger between Siemens Wind Power and Gamesa.

José Antonio Cortajarena is also leaving the company with one day's notice. The long-standing Gamesa board member will be succeeded in the post of General Secretary by Jürgen Bartl, announced Siemens Gamesa.
