The Swedish part of the Baltic Sea could become a new focus area for Dong Energy. The Danish utility has filed an application with the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, seeking permission to begin seabed investigations in several locations in Swedish waters.
According to Swedish media Sydsvenskan, this concerns three areas off the coast of the regions Skåne, Blekinge, and Gotland. The newspaper has calculated the total potential for the five sites to be in the range of 10.9 to 20.6 GW.
