MHI Vestas is poised to receive its largest order ever. Innogy and Statkraft have tapped the Danish/Japanese offshore wind joint venture as preferred supplier on the Triton Knoll project of 860 MW, confirms MHI Vestas to EnergyWatch after Renews reported the order based on a statement from Innogy.
The company will supply 90 turbines from the V164 series, and they will be of the upgraded type boasting 9.5 MW each. This upgrade was announced in June.
