SSE and Statoil are forming a joint venture concerning the British offshore wind area Dogger Bank. With the establishment of a 50/50 partnership, the British utility and the Norwegian oil company are thus emphasizing their commitment in the development of the three 1.2-GW projects, which the duo has owned jointly over the past month.
"Each project represents a significant offshore development in its own right. We're looking forward to working closely with Statoil to consider all of the options available to us in order to develop these projects further," says Mike Seaton, Director of Development at SSE, in a statement.
