US state establishes working group for offshore wind

After committing to continue reducing carbon emissions, the governor now wants to review legislation and regulations to investigate how conditions can be improved for offshore wind.

Governor of US state Delaware, John Carney, wants to investigate the opportunities for offshore wind in his state. For this reason, he has established a task force which will review the pros and cons of developing offshore wind, as well as look into any laws and regulations that could unnecessarily hinder the technology's advance, according to the state's website.

The working group will be tasked with drafting a report of recommendations by Dec. 15.
