Opposition against 2.3 GW offshore wind in Scotland continues

In the wake of defeat at Scotland's Court of Sessions, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is now taking its case against four Scottish offshore wind projects to the British Supreme Court. A coalition of companies calls for the association to stop.

The future of offshore wind in Scotland remains up for discussion.

At least the birds are still chirping, as the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) will not quiet down after the Scottish Court of Sessions rejected the group's complaint in May. The association has now applied directly to the UK Supreme Court in London to have its case against coming wind developments tried there.
