Attempt to de-list renewables company goes awry

Portuguese energy company EDP has not been successful in its attempt to remove subsidiary EDPR from the stock exchange. There was apparently insufficient interest in the remaining shares at the world's fourth-largest producer of wind energy.

"Thanks but no thanks."

This was effectively the response from the 17.4 percent of shareholders in EDP Renovaveis (EDPR), who opted to decline to the offer to buy the remaining shares from EDPR's largest shareholder, Portuguese utility EDP.
