Bipartisan support for US offshore wind tax incentive

One Republican and several Democratic senators have proposed a tax reduction for US offshore wind. One of the drafters calls offshore wind "win-win-win" for the US.

It should be cheaper for European wind developers to set up offshore turbines in the US, believe two US senators who have proposed a tax credit for developers.

Republican Susan Collins and Democrat Tom Carper have proposed a tax credit on 30 percent of investment costs that is redeemable for the first 3 GW of offshore wind facilities placed into service in the US.
