Vestas sued by GE in the US for patent infringement – plans to fight complaint

Vestas rejects complaint filed by GE against the Danish company in the US for breach of patent. GE has previously been involved in a protracted battle against Mitsubishi over the same patented technology.

General Electric Co. is accusing Vestas American Wind Technology, Inc. and Vestas Wind Systems A/S of infringing the company's patents.

Vestas states in a press release issued Wednesday that the company had just seen the complaint and therefore not yet reviewed it in detail. Nonetheless, the Danish company states that it believes the complaint is unfounded.
