GE lands biggest order to date

The US wind turbine manufacturer has settled the sale of 800 of its 2.5 MW turbines for a USD 28.5 billion project in Oklahoma.

GE has landed a significant boost on its home market. The US wind turbine manufacturer will deliver 800 of its 2.5 W turbines to the 2GW Wind Catcher project in Oklahoma, reveals the customer, Invenergy.

"GE is delighted to be a part of the groundbreaking Wind Catcher project with Invenergy and American Electric Power," said Pete McCabe, president and CEO of GE's onshore wind business.
