Egyptian authorities are about to sign a deal for a 250 MW wind farm. Four companies are allegedly competing for the order which will be negotiated in mid-August, reports Egyptian Daily News referring to anonymous sources in Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA).
According to the newspaper the combatants are Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, German company Enercon and a company known as Ray Power. Goldwind was allegedly excluded from the tender as its turbines did not have the right certification.
